Please take note of our elected officers below. These individuals play a vital role in the continuted success of BIASC. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their tireless service to the Association.
2016 President
Michael Battaglia
CalAtlantic Homes
Michael Battaglia is a fourth generation home builder with nearly thirty years of experinece in the home building industry and is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. in Finance, Real Estate and Law, and a concentration in Real Esate Brokerage and Development.
Michael joined Standard Pacific in 1998 as a Project Manager and was promoted to Director of Forward Planning in 2000. In 2003 he began his role as VicePresident of Project Development and is responsible for Acquisition Due Diligence, Land Entitlements and overseeing the project management team that handles all of Standard Pacific's projects in Southern California.
Michael has many years of BIA experience including his service as a former BIA Chapter President and Chair of the BIASC Political Action Committee.
Michael is an Orange resident living in Serrano Heights with Melody, his wife of 22 years, and their three children: Daniel 17, Timothy 14 and Grace 12.

D R Horton
Dan Boyd is the Vice President of Entitlements for D R Horton. A University of Southern California graduate, Dan began his career as an Assistant Project Manager for the Robert P. Warmington Company and spent the next thirteen years ascending the ranks, eventually becoming Director of Land Development.
During his exemplary career, Dan has helped several companies grow intelligently and developed a rich skill set pertaining to land development and residential construction. As the Vice President of Entitlements for D R Horton, Dan oversees all entitlement activity from Orange County to as far south as the US Border.
With his extensive set of experience in the home building industry, his many years of service to the Riverside Chapter's Board of Directors, and his tenure on the BIASC Governing Board, Dan's presidency saw many great achievements. He guided us through many challenges and was tireless in his efforts to help us become a more streamlined organization while maintaining a clear focus on the importance of sharing ideas and making our advocacy efforts a top priority.
We thank Dan for his positive impact on the Association and, in turn, the entire building industry.
